Now that the CBSE has announced Class 12th Results after much delay and even more confusion, all eyes are on Delhi University cut-offs, which will be released on June 20. The cut-offs are likely to see a rise this year, with the number of students scoring about 95 percent increasing by about 8 percent in 2017.

Going by the previous years’ admission criteria, the top DU colleges post cut offs of more than 95 per cent for popular courses. Cut-offs are computed based on the applicants’ score in the ‘best of four’ subjects.

DU College principals said there could be a rise of a bit percentage points in the cut-offs for most undergraduate courses, especially in on-campus colleges.

Those with really high scores stand a good chance of making it to SRCC, St. Stephens, LSR or KMC in their preferred courses. Last year, the cut-off in SRCC for Economics (H) was 98.25 per cent. However, not only experts but also the varsity officials suggest that opting for a good course is more important than going for a well-known college.
