According to sources, the NEET 2021 can be shifted to September . However, a final decision in this regard is yet to be taken and the Ministry is in process of reviewing the COVID-19 situation across states and UTs.

Let’s dive in for the latest updates regarding these National Entrance Tests-

Delhi University students can apply for confidential result

Delhi University (DU) students applying for further studies or jobs will now be able to get their “confidential result” online before the official declaration, the university has said in a notification.

Dean Examinations D S Rawat said the process had been “streamlined” to make it more effective.

To apply online, students will need to submit an application that should “clearly mention the reason of requirement of confidential result”, along with the “offer letter that indicates the requirement of result”. They will also need to submit the copy of each semester’s marksheet, admit card, and fee receipt of Rs 500.

Rawat said DU would “try” to issue such results by the end of July. “We have asked students to request their institutions to extend the date of submission of result, given the unusual circumstances due to the pandemic. But if it doesn’t work out, I am willing to write to them as Dean Examinations, and request the same,” he said.

The whole process has been made online. There is no need for students to visit their colleges. The last date for applying is July 3, and for principals to forward it to the university, the deadline is July 6. We did this as last year we had issued around 650 confidential results, but received 4-5 times the number of applications, many of them with incomplete details. This delays the whole process,” said Rawat.

In the notification further read , “Generally it takes 2-3 months’ time to complete the evaluation and declare the result, so students are advised to request the concerned universities/institutions to extend the date of submission of result. Students are advised to talk only to the Nodal Officers of the respective colleges regarding confidential result or result related queries.”

CBSE Board Exams 2021 for Class 10, 12 in offline mode will likely to be conducted in August if situation is conducive, said Education Minister.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on June 25 shared a special message for CBSE Board Exam 2021 students. The education minister said that students who are dissatisfied with their Class 10, 12 results can appear for physical exams that would likely be conducted in August if the situation is favourable.

Education minister addresses students regarding queries of board and entrance examinations

CBSE Board Exam 2021 for Class 10, 12 has been cancelled by the Board due to the rise in COVID19 cases across the country. The Board has framed separate evaluation criteria for Class 10 and Class 12. The evaluation criteria was accepted by the Supreme Court on June 18, 2021, for Class 12. The result will be declared by CBSE by July 31, 2021.

The exam dates and other details of physical exams (if conducted) will be released by the Board in due course of time.

In a major upset, no announcement regarding JEE Main 2021 or NEET 2021 exam dates were made. The message was only to assure the students of the safety and to share the process of CBSE Result 2021 calculation. Lakhs of students are eagerly waiting for the clarity on the pending competitive exams. It may be worthy to point out here that the Education Minister did not conduct a live session. The message was a pre-recorded message for the stduents.
In the recorded message , the Education Minister has shared that the CBSE optional exams may be conducted in August or any other later date, in case situation is conducive. He has also insisted that the safety of the students is paramount to the government.

Students of Jammu and Kashmir are urging the government to set up examination centres at Srinagar for various Universities like (JNU, DU, JMI and AMU) entrances.

In a statement, the spokesperson of the Association, Nasir Khuehami, said that it is not possible for the students to afford air tickets to travel to other states and appear for exams as most of the them are hailing from marginalised communities.

As the examinations will be conducted from the next month, many students fear contagion, are giving second thoughts to traveling. It is going to be a lot of a hassle for students to travel to Delhi and other places when most of the students are not vaccinated as yet, and there is also a possibility of the third wave happening in the country.

Despite the pandemic, no centre has been allotted to Kashmir by these universities which has left the local students high and dry.

JKSA Secretary Davood Ahmad said: “It will be very inconvenient for the Kashmiri students to travel all the way and spend money on in other states if their examination centres are not arranged locally. This is really hard and grave situation especially for the students belonging to the average income group who can not afford the travel and accommodation expenses.”

He requested LG Sinha to urgently look into the matter and kindly establish alternative exam centre for Kashmiri students in Srinagar for the entrance exam, “otherwise large number of the students may miss the examination if the centre is not set up in Valley.”

Delhi University has finally initiated mock tests for final year students as examination are currently scheduled to be held in August .

The Delhi high court, has asked the university to submit the number of students who had taken the mock test on Tuesday as to assess the situation at hand and address the problems that many students are being subjected to.

It hasn’t been a smooth process for many ;  from login to uploading answer sheets, students faced difficulties at almost every step.

DU uploaded a general question paper asking students to write about the impact of Covid-19 on their life, prompting students to question the point of having the mock test. Other questions included writing a note on a topic of a student’s choice from the syllabus and application of his subject for the society, especially in India.

However many objected to its structure of  mock papers  : as according to students, there’s no point in taking a general question paper, when the actual examination will be subject-specific.

They believe that mock  tests are only effective when they mimic the real thing. Students get the sense of participating in a test without actually partaking in it and feel the authorities and officials have failed them again .
