The Table Tennis men’s team from India settled for a bronze medal after losing the battle from 0-3 to South Korea in a semi final on Tuesday in the Asian Games.

The skillful and mighty G.Sathiyan, stood on 39, and suffered a 11-9 9-11 3-11 3-11 loss to Lee Sangsu in the opening game as India lagged from 0-1 reans, who set up a summit clash against defending champions China,in a repeat of 2014 edition.

In the final and decision making round, Amalraj was beaten by 5-11,7-11,11-4,7-11 by a young 22-years old Woojin Jang as South Korea stood high with 3-0.

Another player from the team, Sharatha Kamal, no.33, was laiden over with the responsibility of putting up a fight to bring India back to the game.But despite of giving a tough fight he went with 9-11 9-11 11-6 11-7 8-11 to Young Sille Jeoung in the second match as South Korea led the tie with 2-0.

In the final and decision making round, Amalraj was beaten by 5-11, 7-11, 11-4, 7-11 by a young 22-years old Woojin Jang as South Korea stood high with 3-0.

India, apart from the defeat game, did do wonders yesterday getting herself a position in the quarter finals by defeating Japan, with 3-1 bagging its first ever medal in Asian Games’ table tennis.

The first victory of reaching to the quarterfinals has been achieved, the rest 3 still lie in the queue that our warriors shall soon achieve!
