The Waiting Game: CUET Results and Student Anxiety

Amid Neet UG scam allegations, NTA is working on reforms to the examination system. However, the results of CUET UG are still in the pipeline. Children are waiting for their results as they will be the gateway to their dream universities. This can also affect the academic calendar due to this delay in results.

The CUET UG results were expected to be released by the 30th of June. However, NTA is still on the line to clarify anything regarding the date of results awaited. . On the one hand, postgraduation admissions are on the way and the other hand, under-graduation admission can only start after the results of CUET get released.

“We are ready with the admission procedure. If there are delays, it might impact our admissions calendar, but we are advising students to wait patiently,” said a DU official.

A burnout

Mr Pandey, who is also the Delhi chief of the All India Parents’ Association, said, “Because of NTA’s inefficiency, many students have started applying to private colleges. This will push well-off students into private colleges and lead to segmentation of students based on their family’s income.”

Students are demanding that Universities should start their admission procedure based on their 12th score. As many students started to enrol themselves in private Universities, it is not a possible option for students who come from an economically weaker background leading to a divide.

“NTA should be considerate towards students’ future, given the fact that more than 250 universities accept CUET UG results,” said Muskan Vijayvargiya, an aspirant from Jaipur.

Thus in a nutshell we can say that such a delay in releasing the results of the CUET examination is a test of patience by NTA. Students generally remain ambiguous at this stage regarding their future and career. Such situations can lead to burnout for students. The credibility of NTA with its performance this year is a questionable matter!

The cut-off mark is the minimum score a student must earn in both the entrance exam and the qualifying examination. The cut-offs for Delhi University are published on the university’s website.

Every year, DU publishes its merit-based admission cut-offs. On the official website of DU, a separate cut-off list for Commerce, Arts & Science, and other courses are posted. The cut-offs for this year are coming out in almost 10 days and it is important for students to know the procedure and steps to avoid any mistakes.

Under Delhi University, there are 91 colleges with a total of 62,000 seats for undergraduate studies. For undergraduate admission, students must match their grades to the college cut-offs. Those students who fulfill the DU 2021 requirements cutoff must complete the report check process by contacting their respective Delhi University department/college. Aspirants must additionally pay the admission fee within 24 hours after receiving admission approval.

Read the official procedure document here.

Students are always concerned about the procedure following the submission of the admission form and they often miss something or the other. So to make the admissions process easier for candidates, here is a step-by-step guide to getting into merit-based courses after the cut-offs are announced:

Step 1: To get an application form for admission, students must go into their portal and pick the subject and college.

Step 2: Once the applicants receive the application form, they must provide the following papers to the college for admissions:

  • Class 10th Board Examination Certificate
  • Class 12th Provisional Certificate
  • Marksheet of both the classes
  • The latest character certificate authorities by the Principal of the school last attended.
  • If applicable, SC/ST/OBC/PwD certificates in the name of the applicant only.
  • Transfer certificates from school/board along with the migration certificate
  • Two Passport Size Self Attested Photographs.

Step 3: After the Principal has accepted the application, students can pay their fees online. The admission procedure to that particular college is complete after the fees are paid in full.

Step 4: However, if a student wishes to enroll in a different course or college in one of the following cut-offs, they must complete the following steps:

• Aspirants will be required to cancel their prior college admission online and submit a withdrawal fee.
• Print the withdrawal fee receipt after canceling.
• Students must pay the balance fee of the new institution to which they are applying for admission in order to enroll in another course or college.

Note – If a student has paid an excess amount, it will be reimbursed to the same bank account from which the applicant paid the fees within a few days.

Admissions Procedures for Undergraduate and Graduate (Entrance-based) Courses:

Step 1: Following the announcement of the results, the Delhi University merit list will be made available online.

Step 2: Every college has a restricted number of seats. As a result, the cut-off list is determined by the maximum proportion of pupils. Seats on the admission list will be assigned based on rank and seat availability at the various colleges.

Step 3: Candidates whose percentage is under the cut-off range and who are eligible for admission to that college must print out the admission form.

Step 4: After taking a printout of the admission form, they must proceed to the appropriate college for additional verification.

Step 5: The admission will be authorized once all of the papers have been checked and the verification procedure has been completed.

Step 6: The costs will be paid over the internet. The student must pay the costs online once the admission procedure has been authorized. Students who miss or are unable to attend the college for additional verification will not be invited for further admission rounds.

Delhi University, or DU, is one of India’s most prestigious educational institutions. DU delivers a unique ‘Appearance’ in addition to many other characteristics such as competitive advantage, education, and enjoyment. Without a question, it is India’s most exciting and vibrant university. The origin of Delhi University goes all the way back to 1922 when it was established by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly.

DU’s grandeur, however, is not limited to its cutoffs or the scholars it enrols. The lifestyle that this university provides is what makes it so appealing.

The student fests held in DU colleges are the most intriguing aspect of Delhi University. DU is known for throwing the best college events ever! These gatherings are notable not only for the celebrities who participate but also for the incredible crowds that attend that each college host has its own name. Another great aspect of these events is you’ll learn how to arrange an event. Students get the opportunity to demonstrate and hone their skills in a variety of ways!!

If you are in any portion of Northern India and have not tried the region’s spicy cuisine, you are missing out on a lot. Within the campus, there are several food establishments that cater to a wide range of likes and dislikes. Furthermore, you are never restricted to the university’s limits. Just walk outside and you’ll notice a slew of restaurants.

The university elections are held just at the commencement of the first year. Elections are a lot more fun because there is so much bustle inside every college. Banners, posters, and other marketing events, as well as a barrage of messages and postings on social media, are all urging you to vote for their party. You will undoubtedly pick up on the politics and spirit of change!!

The faculty of Delhi University is another incredible part of the university. This line perfectly describes the excellence of teachers at Delhi University: “The publications that other universities suggest, their authors teach at DU.” However, what’s more, intriguing is that the professors are quite personable. They become more than just teachers; they become mates. As a result, you can anticipate having the best mentors.

No one can deny that DU students are unconcerned about their attendance. Despite the fact that it has some bearing on final grades, most students are unconcerned about attendance. The average turnout is substantially lower than the actual number of students enrolled in the college. This is due to the fact that DU provides much more than just a curriculum.

The charm of Delhi University is that it allows students to pursue any interest they desire. That is why people who have never performed before will show up for singing auditions. People who have never discussed anything with their friends will participate in debates. This is one of the things that distinguishes DU from other universities. If you have the drive to succeed, as well as the necessary skills and abilities, you can achieve your goals.

The majority of pupils participate in at least one extracurricular activity. Many of them are linked to a variety of activities. As a result, at DU, you’ll learn how to balance all of these factors while studying for all important exams? You’ll be able to balance studies, extracurricular activities, elections, and outings in no time. There’s no doubt that you’ll learn to multitask effectively.

You will always be pleased to be a DU student because it has produced some of the country’s most illustrious figures. Many accomplished persons from diverse professions have been a part of DU, including politicians, Bollywood stars, engineers, social workers, scientists, and worldwide figures.

Time at DU, like all magnificent journeys, will run its course. But even the last day at DU will be as thrilling as the previous three years. At DU, farewells are raucous, colourful, and photo-filled. Everyone will be dressed to the nines in whichever style they like. Overall, farewell is that one final occasion that forms a lifelong memory.

At the University Of Delhi, life is unpredictable with many ups and downs. You’ll be so preoccupied during those years that you won’t notice when your course is finished. DU absolutely transforms you and gives you more confidence than you’ve ever had before. DU is, without a doubt, the most vibrant campus in the country.
